WILLOW LANE

BLUFFTON, SOUTH CAROLINA

Encapsulating the "Lowcountry style", this statement kitchen achieves the perfect balance of elegance and casual.

This statement kitchen was the first major project to be undertaken in this South Carolina remodel.

"Lowcountry style" is a common term in the South Carolina area and reflects a laid-back lifestyle combined with Southern hospitality and historic charm that design consultant Heather Hungeling was keen to capture in this home.

Heather opted for our Architectural Cabinetry to strike the perfect balance of elegance and casual. The raised bolection moulding of the door style conveys the sense of luxury, while the overall design delivers very clean lines. Additionally, she knew that it would blend with the rest of the home immediately, as well as in the future.

The hard lines of the interior were subtly softened by the addition of Architectural Curved Cabinetry.

Adding curved cabinetry served to soften the angular shape of the space, as well as all of the hard lines typically created by cabinetry.

The addition of the second island visually extended the kitchen and provided a great flow. Positioned with one of the refrigerators close by, it made the ideal place from which to set out the morning's accoutrements and provides a designated coffee bar and breakfast area.

The range surround was a subtle nod to the Mediterranean style of the property exterior. The arched surround uses a Clive Christian Furniture pulvinated frieze to trim out the range hood for added interest while providing an opportunity for a striking statement backsplash and showcase for the stunning La Corneau Chateau 150 Range cooker.
