We Won! The International Design & Architecture Awards 2022

For over 13 years, The International Design & Architecture Awards have supported the global interior design and architecture industry and are known for bringing together an elite group of companies.

Their unique voting system enabled an incredible 84,000 global industry professionals to individually acknowledge, consider and finally, vote for the shortlisted nominees, with an average voter spending 53 minutes reviewing projects over a 4-week period. It is this level of engagement that makes these awards ever more important to our industry.

Consistently regarded as “the pinnacle of recognition within the industry”, we are delighted to have won the prestigious Kitchen Design over £100,000 award, while also being nominated for two further awards including ‘Bespoke Cabinetry/Installation for two of our projects”

The winning project, designed by Alec Wilson owner of our Weybridge Showroom, was for a lifetime admirer of Clive Christian Furniture who wanted a spectacular and striking kitchen for their family to congregate and come together for all occasions - ultimately making the kitchen the heart of the home. The overall design was fused with specialised storage integration with an effortlessly chic and polished aesthetic while creating a sense of symmetry. The completed space has been applauded by many since its completion with a four-page spread dedicated to the elegantly crafted design in Home & Garden Magazine.

The black walnut aesthetics of the Metro Deco kitchen perfectly accents the kitchen’s artisanally made and signature Clive Christian Furniture cabinetry, which marries inlaid steel and ambient lighting to set a symmetric tone in the space.

A harmonising kitchen island sits in the centre, further balancing out the room’s interiors while providing ample space for the family to sit comfortably and ensuring all appliances are within easy reach.

As an avid sports fan, the client wanted a television to be discretely integrated into the kitchen’s design so that the family could enjoy their favourite sports shows without compromising the sophistication of the space.

An exceptional backsplash and mirror instalment was created, which serves as a television when switched on to bring an alternative dynamic to the room. Switched off, it thrives as an elegant sink backdrop that draws together the wider room while complementing the natural lighting that reflects the garden pool and dances into the kitchen on warm, sunny days.

With over 84,000 votes across the entire Design et Al awards this year, we are immensely proud of Alec and his team from our Weybridge Showroom. See the winning project below.
